Most of the ladies at the crop were doing the class this time so we stayed in the hall rather than moving out into one of the classrooms. It was nice to be in the hall all day for a change. I didn't manage to photograph all the class pages but below are some of them. First is my page and I used photos of my husband Dave water-skiing. It was his first time doing it and he got on really well... better than me. I am sure it is on his list of things to do again. After that are some of the ladies pages... lots of different subjects for their photos but they all look great on their washing lines!!

May Crop Class Sneak Peek
The next Cre8tive Crop is this Saturday and it's a crop with a class so you can either come and do your own thing all day or you can do the class for the first half of the day... at least then you know you will have at least one project completed by the end of the day!! Here is a sneak peak of the class and if you would like to join us please message me and I'll give you more details. The class is suitable for all abilities as I am on hand to help beginners/intermediate scrappers and there are full instructions too! If you can't join us but would like a kit let me know. It's a double page layout so you will need 5 small photos (max size 4" x 2 1/2").

More kit 6 pages!
Those of you who get the Cre8tive kits will know Sue does pages for us each time which is great because her style is so different to mine so you get lots of inspiration. Here are Sue's pages...
I love it when people think outside the box and find different uses for things... Sue has used both the ribbons in the kit on this page. Can you see where? The first is obvious the pink ribbon under the photo. The second isn't so obvious. Sue has cut some of the circles from the ribbon to use as flower centres! Brilliant!
On this page Sue has done lots of stitching with the threads from the kit. I love the idea with the layered staggered hexagons! Brilliant!
Sue has chosen to use the yellow card behind her shaped paper here and it really makes it stand out. I love how she has cut into the shaped paper to make her photo fit behind it.

Cre8tive Kit 6
The next Cre8tive Kit is available on the Cre8tive site here. To give you an idea of what you can do with the kit and to inspire you here are my pages. I was really surprised at how different the pages turned out but I was really pleased with them, especially as I managed to use pink which is no mean feat with 3 boys!
This first page was quite straightforward as the shaped glazed paper did most of the work for me. I stamped the daisies and cut round them leaving a small white border. The daisies are from the Fancy Pants 12"x12" Pollen Dust clear stamp set that was available a few years ago. I then used the mini button brads in the kit as the flower centres and added a yellow button from my stash for the biggest flower. The sequins in the kit were a bit bright for my liking but with a gentle sanding the texture on them was brought out and they were a little less in your face! The title is done with the glitter rub-ons in the kit... I really like these... just rub on a letter at a time and cover in glitter and brush off the excess. There are 4 colours to choose from so they are really versatile. My son is not going to like me for scrapping this photo in years to come but at the time he was going to marry the little girl in the picture and live in a pink house!!
I have wanted to scrap these photos of my eldest son and have finally got round to it 15 years later!! The frame for the photos was made from the same Fancy Pants stamp set I used for the daisies. I added dots of Adirondack Dimensional Pearls to the flourishes which gives them a really nice texture and 3D finish. The title was made from American Craft Thickers.
This page is about the one year that the yellow team won sports day and thankfully it was my middle sons last year in the school so he was really pleased! The banner title was used by cutting banner shapes from one of the papers in the kit and then mounting them on white card and adding the glitter rub ons with the blue glitter. The butterflies have liquid pearl dots on their bodies. The doilies were actually left over from Cre8tive Kit 5! This page and the '1, 2 Smile' page were made using the same sketch! Would you have guessed if I hadn't told you?
Tomorrow I'll share Sue's pages from the kit so pop back and check them out.

You Colour My World
We had great fun at the crop on Saturday and as always the ladies class pages all turend out lovely and all just a little bit different too which I love. Below is my page and also the ladies pages... well done especially to Karen and Debbie for their first ever class and I was so pleased you both used the ribbon technique from the class on other pages.
Here is my page, unfortunately my pictures were a little dark but the photos were of the boys just before they went to Twickenham to see England play rugby.
This is Su's page. For the class I said four 3"x3" square photos but as you can see Su (and several of the others) adapted the photo size to fit what they wanted to use. Su also added her journalling around the edge and added some doodles to the stamped swirls.
Penny's dad was a photographer so she has loads of lovely photos of herself as a child. Here she used photos of her and her brother before their younger sibling came along.
Lesley used photos of her granddaughters... haven't they got cheeky smiles!!!
It was Karen's first ever class and I love her page. I especially love her zig zag edge to the photos to tie in with the zig zag stitching.
Debbie's page shows her climbing the Gibraltar Rock. Well done Debbie!!!
And last but not least here is Bobby's page with lots of photos of her grandchildren striking a pose in sunglasses!

Kit Contents
I have had some people asking what the Basic Grey Page of the Month kits contain so I thought the easiest thing was to take some pictures of a kit to give you an idea.
Here is a picture of the January 2013 kit.
It contains 9 double sided papers..
Flair Stickers which are the cutest mini bottle tops (a pack of 12)...
Alphabet Stickers (sorry I forgot to photograph these... you can see them in the photo of the whole kit!
Snippets... A pad of well... snippets! Perfect for journalling, embellishments and accents....
Chipboard Stickers with lovely delicate glitter accents...
And my favourite the stitched garlands... there are two sheets per pack so 6 garlands in total and they are double sided so they can be used either way up or on projects where both sides will be seen. Perfect!
If you would like to sign up for the Page of the Month kits in 2013 you can find the details here. You will need to sign up as soon as possible as we have just 3 places remaining. They will be given on a first come first served basis. Any questions let me know.

Crop Cancelled Due to Snow
We have decided to cancel the crop tomorrow :( There is still a lot of snow here and with temperatures due to go down in the night I think it is best to make the decision now. We have people who come from all different areas and I don't want people to get stuck in the name of scrapping! If you were due to come if you could confirm that you have got the message that would be great so I can make sure everyone knows. I'll be sending out an e-mail shortly.

The last kit of the year is also made up of completely exclusive Basic Grey papers which are available only to those who get the kits.
So what is it? Well it’s a great year long programme that will get you
scrapping throughout 2013. The programme will begin mid-March 2013 and run through
until February 2014. There is a kit each month (you get two at a time) which
contains a selection from one of the latest paper ranges from Basic Grey plus a

and colour instructions to complete a double page scrapbook layout with plenty
of left overs for the bonus projects and to add to your stash.
Sign up for the year and you

£18.99 each plus £2.99 P&P so £40.97 every two months or pay for the whole

last kit or carried on to the following year if you decide to carry on in 2014.
This is a yearlong kit programme so if you were unable to complete the year
unfortunately your deposit wouldn’t be refunded.
Sign-up is open until the end of
January but if you would like to join us please let me know as soon as possible
as we have to book the kits in 12’s and if you are the 13th to reply
