More kit 6 pages!

Those of you who get the Cre8tive kits will know Sue does pages for us each time which is great because her style is so different to mine so you get lots of inspiration. Here are Sue's pages...

I love it when people think outside the box and find different uses for things... Sue has used both the ribbons in the kit on this page. Can you see where? The first is obvious the pink ribbon under the photo. The second isn't so obvious. Sue has cut some of the circles from the ribbon to use as flower centres! Brilliant!
On this page Sue has done lots of stitching with the threads from the kit. I love the idea with the layered staggered hexagons! Brilliant!
Sue has chosen to use the yellow card behind her shaped paper here and it really makes it stand out. I love how she has cut into the shaped paper to make her photo fit behind it.

Cre8tive Kit 6

The next Cre8tive Kit is available on the Cre8tive site here. To give you an idea of what you can do with the kit and to inspire you here are my pages. I was really surprised at how different the pages turned out but I was really pleased with them, especially as I managed to use pink which is no mean feat with 3 boys!

This first page was quite straightforward as the shaped glazed paper did most of the work for me. I stamped the daisies and cut round them leaving a small white border. The daisies are from the Fancy Pants 12"x12" Pollen Dust clear stamp set that was available a few years ago. I then used the mini button brads in the kit as the flower centres and added a yellow button from my stash for the biggest flower. The sequins in the kit were a bit bright for my liking but with a gentle sanding the texture on them was brought out and they were a little less in your face! The title is done with the glitter rub-ons in the kit... I really like these... just rub on a letter at a time and cover in glitter and brush off the excess. There are 4 colours to choose from so they are really versatile. My son is not going to like me for scrapping this photo in years to come but at the time he was going to marry the little girl in the picture and live in a pink house!!

I have wanted to scrap these photos of my eldest son and have finally got round to it 15 years later!! The frame for the photos was made from the same Fancy Pants stamp set I used for the daisies. I added dots of Adirondack Dimensional Pearls to the flourishes which gives them a really nice texture and 3D finish. The title was made from American Craft Thickers.

This page is about the one year that the yellow team won sports day and thankfully it was my middle sons last year in the school so he was really pleased! The banner title was used by cutting banner shapes from one of the papers in the kit and then mounting them on white card and adding the glitter rub ons with the blue glitter. The butterflies have liquid pearl dots on their bodies. The doilies were actually left over from Cre8tive Kit 5! This page and the '1, 2 Smile' page were made using the same sketch! Would you have guessed if I hadn't told you?

Tomorrow I'll share Sue's pages from the kit so pop back and check them out.

You Colour My World

We had great fun at the crop on Saturday and as always the ladies class pages all turend out lovely and all just a little bit different too which I love. Below is my page and also the ladies pages... well done especially to Karen and Debbie for their first ever class and I was so pleased you both used the ribbon technique from the class on other pages.

Here is my page, unfortunately my pictures were a little dark but the photos were of the boys just before they went to Twickenham to see England play rugby.

This is Su's page. For the class I said four 3"x3" square photos but as you can see Su (and several of the others) adapted the photo size to fit what they wanted to use. Su also added her journalling around the edge and added some doodles to the stamped swirls.

Penny's dad was a photographer so she has loads of lovely photos of herself as a child. Here she used photos of her and her brother before their younger sibling came along.

Can you tell Maureen is a proud granny? I love the way she has accented the blue to tie in with the photos and used just two photos. Lovely.

Lesley used photos of her granddaughters... haven't they got cheeky smiles!!!

It was Karen's first ever class and I love her page. I especially love her zig zag edge to the photos to tie in with the zig zag stitching.
Debbie's page shows her climbing the Gibraltar Rock. Well done Debbie!!!

And last but not least here is Bobby's page with lots of photos of her grandchildren striking a pose in sunglasses!
