Snowman Card

I am so excited as I have published my first video to Youtube! I have several other videos nearly completed so I'll try to put up at least one a month from now on. Please do subscribe to my channel if you can so you get notification of when they are up. I've put codes for all the products used so you can visit Cre8tive and just put the code in the search box and if it is in stock it will come up for you.

Anyway onto my project and video. This project has been made for UKScrappers so welcome if you are joining us from there. Please do leave us a comment or follow the Cre8tive blog for more inspiration. I've put details of a special offer at the end of the post so read on to the end!

This is the card and it is really easy and relatively quick to make. It would be great for mass producing and I've kept it flat and small so it is cheap to post too. I don't need to say much else as hopefully the video will say it all. Please do let me know if you have any questions.

So the special offer is 10% off everything in the Cre8tive shop for the month of December. The only exclusion is Herma refills which are already discounted so can't go any cheaper! Just enter the code SNOWMAN at the checkout. You'll find us at www.cre8tiveonline.co.uk

November Cre8tive Crop Class

Unfortunately despite remembering my camera I left the memory card for it in the pc at home so I don't have pictures of everyone else's class pages from the crop. I hopefully will get pictures at the next crop. Anyway here is my page... lots of embossing and lots of kraft card! This page would look great made with lots of different colours or with patterned papers in place of the embossed panels. Apologies for the gory photo!!

Cre8tive Kit 4

The latest Cre8tive kit is now available online here.

As always Sue has made some lovely pages from the kit and I have made some too. I hope you like them and they give you some inspiration. Please do ask if you have any questions about the pages or the kits.
Sue loves stitching on her pages (all three pages from this kit have stitching) but I especially like her glittery spiders web
This is my favourite page of Sue's. I love the simplicity with the white background and the black and white photo but the photo with Sophia looking down towards the flourish works really well too. Oh and what a clever way to use one of the Barn Door die cuts as an oversized photo corner!
And here is Sue's third page with an absolutely stunning sunset photo. Can you see the glitter on the patterned paper behind the photo - lovely!
For my first page I was really pleased to find these photos with the colours that matched the papers so well. The flourishes above and below the photos in purple are stamped and the white detail is added with a pen.
This page shows a GeoCache we found on a day out near us, well hidden in a tree. The plastic hand is lifesize so not very big! I wanted to add some journalling to explain about the difficulty we had finding it so I wrote around the edge. See the photo below for a close up.
And finally I used the circle on the photo to help me design this page. Some of the circles are punched from the patterned papers and others are made from the Barn Door die cuts. Some are stuck directly to the page and others are on 3D foam to give the page some dimension. The title is from a story tape that my kids loved when they were younger. Again I did some stamping and added white pen (see below) but I also carried on the faux stitching theme around the title and the circles to tie it all together.

September 2012 Cre8tive Crop Class

We had a lovely day at the crop on Saturday. Everything seemed to go remarkably smoothly, so much so that I spent a lot of the afternoon chatting which doesn't usually happen! It was great to catch up with everyone.

As always I have take photos of the class pages so you can see the same page with different photos and different twists as people make it their own. So first up here is my page and the starting point for the ladies.
Next is Debs page. She chose to ink around her strips which really made them stand out.
Lesley made this page with a photo of her two granddaughters, the black and white is great as it goes with anything.
Maureen had a landscape photo so she changed her page around a bit. She also added red Liquid Pearls rather than the white I used
Pat usually sneaks off before I manage to photo her pages but not this time!
I just love this photo of Penny, so great... can you guess what job her dad did?
Sheila hasn't done scrapping for a while so this was her first page for a few years. I hope she was pleased.
Su chose this photo of her daughter because the sneak peek I sent through had the stripes on it. She added some ribbon to make the page her own. Notice also how she drew around the title to make it stand out more.
I have just one class kit left so if you would like it get in touch.

Silly Sophie

I wanted to share this page that Debbie did of her Niece at our crop. I love the layout of the page and the bright zingy colours. It captures Sophies fun character so well.

July Cre8tive Crop Class

I hope you are all enjoying the sun now it is finally here :) Oh what a difference a week makes.... this time last week it was cold and wet and today it is clear blue skies and hot hot hot... wonderful. Even better because my youngest is on cub camp this week and my middle son is sailing over to the Isle of White to see the queen :) My eldest is the only one home although he is recovering from a practice hike for his Duke of Edinburgh award and flying with the air cadets yesterday so he's doing lots of fun stuff too :)

Talking about fun stuff we had a great time as always at the recent Cre8tive Crop. I taught a class - see below for my page as well as some of the pages from the ladies in the class too :0) In my class I had 8 students whilst the other ladies did their own scrapping in the hall. It's funny though of those 8 three were Maureens (and one Maureen who usually does the class couldn't make it either!), I also had two Penny's on the day and three Sue's!

Anyway on to the pages....

Here is my page... it's my youngest son in the small boat and the 49er sailing team for Team GB just happened to be sailing at the same time! Go Team GB!

This page was made by Little Maureen.... she has never done ANY crafting before... as she said "I don't even have a pair of scissors!" Brilliant!

This page was created by Big Maureen!! I love the 3 photos going down in size, so nice when people make pages their own.

The last page I managed to get a photo of was Su's page of her daughter in her Rainbow uniform. I love the way the title follows the circle and the shamrocks in the corners... what a great place for the journalling too on the flower!

If you would like to buy a kit with full instructions to make the page you can find it on our site here. The only thing you will need apart from the usual tools is a hole punch and eyelet setter that can set 3/16" eyelets anywhere on a page, a border punch such as the Fiskars Threading Water or Brackets punch and a white pen.
